ShadowCopy
A free program to copy whole hard drives.
Shadow Copy is a simple tool to make copies of all files. In difference to other file managers, like Windows Explorer for example, Shadow Copy copies all the files, and with "all" we mean even those files that are blocked or open. This is possible because the program uses Microsoft`s Volume Shadow Services (VSS). The advantage is that you can copy a whole hard drive to another. This way, what you are doing is practically cloning the hard drive.
So that everything turns out well, you need to have a new partition active (in Windows Disk Management) and create a new drive using DriveImage XML. It is possible that you need to restart Windows during this cloning process.
The Shadow Copy interface is very simple and the program is free.
